Lee’s wife, Linda, reported that Lee, along with George Lazenby, met producer Raymond Cho at 2 p.m. to discuss making the film Game of Death. They worked until 4 a.m. and then went to Li’s co-worker, Taiwanese actress Betty Ting Pei. The trio discussed the script at Ting’s house, and then Cho left for a dinner meeting. Lee then said that he was having a headache. At this Ting gave them pain medicine. At around 7.30, Lee lay down to take a nap. When Lee did not come for dinner, producer Raymond Cho went into the room to pick him up but he could not pick up Lee. A doctor was called. The doctor watched Lee for ten minutes, then called an ambulance and sent him to the hospital. Lee was declared dead upon being taken to the hospital.
