If the supervolcano erupted today, it would devastate life on earth because it would create a volcanic winter that would last for many years. The supervolcano is predicted to erupt in the next couple of thousand years and scientists are working on ways to stop it from erupting.

The supervolcano is 1,000 times larger than the one in Mount St. Helens and it’s been around for 3 million years. The supervolcano under Yellowstone National Park is estimated to have erupted around 640,000 years ago. It’s still active today and has the potential to erupt again. If this happens, it could result in a disaster that would affect the entire world. The supervolcano has the potential to cause a global catastrophe..and there is no person who want to be a volunteer firefighter there as well.
